Boot Camp Older Mac
- Boot Camp will only help the user partition their disk if they currently have only a primary HFS partition, an EFI System Partition, and a Mac OS X Recovery Partition. Thus, for example, it is not possible to maintain an additional storage partition.

I just successfully upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro (for free) on both my 2006 Mac Pro (1,1 running Snow Leopard) and my 2011 Macbook Pro (8,2 running High Sierra). Interesting that it's possible to run the current Windows on a 13 year old Apple machine, but not the current Mac OS.

Jul 20, 2019 There are three methods you can use to play Windows game on a Mac: WINE, Boot Camp, and virtualization. If you want to play Windows games with as little trouble as possible, then Boot Camp is the best choice. Virtual machines can work well for older games but lack the performance necessary to play modern titles. The only issue is that previously I could view the OSX drives/partitions while in Windows 7 & copy files from those OSX drives to the Windows side & now those drives don't show, only the Windows drives/partitions are displayed. While in OSX on both machines I can still see and copy from the Windows drives/partitions to the OSX side.
Seems to me it must be that I need new Boot Camp support files/drivers for the Windows 10 but I see no easy way to get them. I did get Windows support files through Boot Camp Assistant for the Macbook Pro, but when I try to run setup I get the prompt 'The installer encountered errors before Boot Camp could be configured.' and can only exit, and on the Mac Pro when I try to download support files it tells me they are no longer available.
Any ideas, or am I just stuck not being able to view the OSX drives from Windows 10?
