The Schyster Deviant is a muscle car featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Arena War update, released on February 7, 2019, during the Deviant Week event. The Deviant is based on Ringbrothers' Javelin AMX Defiant, itself a customized 1972 AMC Javelin. The taillights, grille and lower grille seem to resemble the ones found in the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. I found solution all you need to do is delete any mod file that located with GTA5.exe,works for me atleast But i want to use mods. Do i just have to reinstall the mods? This topic has been deleted. Only users with topic management privileges can see it. Dev-c.com is down? Just recently when i clicked on gta v, this popped up (FATAL: Unknown game version, chech http;//dev-c.com for updates). How do i fix it in order to play gta v again, will someone PLZ HELP ME!!!!! The title of the box says (SCRIPT HOOK V CRITICAL ERROR).

So I am new to modding GTA V and it seems it is a lot harder to mod than Skyrim or Fallout 4 were. I am trying to make a new playthrough using mods that make the single player campaign more realistic and immersive. Using real world car replacers, so forth and so on. I watched a tutorial on YouTube and it pretty much said that Scripthook V is pretty much essential to installing any mods. So I followed the directions, installing Open IV, Scripthook V, Scripthook V dot NET, etc. and modified the files as directed.

The problem is the game won't run and keeps spitting out this error message...

I don't understand why I am getting this message as I have the Steam version of GTA V so I know that is the most recent version, so is Scripthook V in need of a new release? I downloaded the link on this site (which sends you to http://dev-c.com anyways).

Any insight as to what the issue is would be very much appreciated as I would like to start a playthrough of single player modded with some mods I like as Online play has grown very stale as of late (just my opinion, but it has turned into one long endless grind).

Script Hook V is the library (created by Alexander Blade) that allows to use GTA V script native functions in custom *.asi plugins.

Note that it doesn't work in GTA Online, script hook disables custom scripts when player goes in multiplayer.

To install:

Dev-c Gta 5 Script Hook

Copy ScriptHookV.dll to the game's main folder, i.e. where GTA5.exe is located. In order to load asi plugins you need to have asi loader installed, you can download it separately or use the latest version that comes with this distrib (dsound.dll). This distrib also includes a sample asi plugin - native trainer, if you need a trainer then copy NativeTrainer.asi too.
